Bill Price
Bill is a native of West Virginia. He was brought up in a Christian home and came to accept Christ as his Savior at an early age while attending a small nondenominational church in rural WV. After the death of his father, Bill dropped out of college and went to stay with his sister in Indiana. During a time of great searching, he received a call to pastoral ministry. He pursued greater education and training for ministry and returned to WV to pursue studies for pastoral ministry. After a semester at Appalachian Bible College, he moved on to attend Asbury University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in 1983. While at Asbury he met his wife, Beth. After graduating from Asbury, Bill moved to Jacksonville NC to engage Youth Ministry for 2 years before moving back to Kentucky to begin studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in 1985. While attending seminary their son Jacob was born. Bill completed an Masters of Divinity in 1989 and an MA in Theological Studies in 1990. After seminary, he moved to engage pastoral ministry in June of 1990. Bill served 2 churches in the Enterprise area, Pleasant Ridge and Sardis. His daughter Jamie was born while serving during this time in 1991. Bill’s next appointment was as an Associate Pastor in Prattville where he served from 1993-1997. Later, he was appointed to serve Headland from 1997-2009. He then served Spanish Fort from 2009- 2024.
Bill has been on many mission trips to Jamaica, Virgin Islands, Costa Rica and Ecuador. And he was fortunate to be on 2 trips to the Holy Land. He has also worked on multiple trips to help others in disaster response efforts after major storms in our region. He has worked on several Emmaus Walks and Men’s Retreats. Preaching, Teaching and Fellowship experiences have remained powerful and formative experiences across his many years of ministry.
Bill and Beth enjoy many outdoor activities, and most importantly, spending time with their two wonderful grandchildren, Emmabeth and Jace, who joined their family while serving at Spanish Fort! They are both very thankful to be serving 5 Rivers Church is this pivotal time in their lives and praying for the Lord to accomplish great things through this new beginning for them and for 5 Rivers Church!
